The 2010 Ford Fusion is available with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, a 3.0-liter V6 or a 3.5-liter V6 engine. A six-speed manual was standard and a six-speed automatic was available. The base four-cylinder Fusion gets up to 22/31 mpg city/highway, which is about average for the class.
The 2010 Fusion's new styling looks sharp, especially the aggressive front end that puts a new face on Ford's three-bar grille. The design requires a new hood and front fenders, and the result is as sculptural as it is contemporary
The 2010 update is extensive and rectifies the road noise and turning circle shortcomings of the original car. The V6 engine is still responsive and gets good fuel economy. Ride and handling remain competent and stability control is now standard.
Standard features include cruise control and a four-speaker stereo with auxiliary input. The Fusion’s standard safety features include six airbags, anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control. The 2010 Fusion offers some available safety features that were impressive for the class in 2010, including a blind spot monitoring system. You’ll find all-wheel drive on SEL and Sport models with a V6 engine.
